Memorial Biography

On Saturday, November 21, 2020, Talik Bell, our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend transitioned from this world at the age of 21. Talik was born on April 15, 1999 in Atlanta Georgia, the son of Travis and Rhonda Bell. He was loved by so many and left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. He was affectionally known by his family and a few select friends as “Boobie”. He was outgoing and friendly with a radiant smile that ignited joy in everyone he encountered. His laugh was so infectious that we would often laugh with him before he could finish a story. He confessed Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized on August 28, 2011 by Pastor Clarence Drake of Trinity Covenant Ministries. He was a student of the DeKalb County School District, he attended Canby Lane Elementary, Miller Grove Middle, and Towers High School where he graduated in 2017. While in high school, he was a member of the Audio Video Technology and Film Club He briefly attended Georgia State University and planned to major in Film and Media. Talik began playing baseball at 4 years old at Gresham Park in Decatur Georgia. He played on various teams including the Pirates (Gresham), the Indians (Gresham), the Mariners (Browns Mill), Miller Grove Middle, and Towers High School. He played the second and third base positions, but his favorite position to play was pitcher. He was an avid video gamer and loved to play with his friends online. He was very generous and loved to buy things for family members with money he earned from his job at Publix where he started working at 16 years old. He loved skateboarding and photography. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Carrie Dixon and brother Travis Bell Jr. He will be deeply missed by his parents Travis and Rhonda Bell; brothers, Christopher Glenn, Jabari Glenn, Tyronn Walker, Treveon Bell, Travaris Bell and Tobias Bell; sisters, Imani Bell (Brandon); Jasmine Bell, Travonda Bell, McKenzie Bell, and Tiffany Bell; grandmothers, Kathryn Bell and Carolyn Bell; aunts, Chandericia Marshall, Lateisha Rainey, Karen Chung, and Tashema Colthirst; uncles, Joseph Bell Jr, Tyrohn Bell, Trenton Bell; special cousins, Quave and Janaya Marshall, Christopher and Jalon Rainey-Griggs, and Malik Bell; God parents Antonio and Tarin Cordoves Austin; God Brother Jhaviel Austin, God Sister Lyaric Austin and a host of other relatives and friends.
